KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police registered a case into the murder of a woman and her three children in Sarjani Town here on area.
The case was registered on the complaint of Muhammad Yamin, the father-in-law of the deceased woman, Mehwish.
According to the complainant, his son Danish informed him that his wife, daughters and son had been killed by unidentified assailants.
DIG West Irfan Baloch said the investigation is being conducted from multiple angles, with the deceased woman’s husband and a neighbour also being questioned.
Police have so far recorded the statements of more than eight people. According to police, the victims were allegedly tortured and sustained fatal head injuries caused by a heavy object.
An eight-member investigation team, headed by SSP West, has been constituted to probe the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the killings.
Funeral prayers for the deceased were offered at Jamia Masjid near the DA Flats in Sarjani Town.
