ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The body of a woman who went missing from Islamabad’s Bara Kahu area has been recovered after four days, with reports revealing that the body had already been lying in the morgue of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital for the past three days.
According to the family, a kidnapping case had been registered against the woman’s former husband following her disappearance from Bara Kahu. The family members staged a strong protest at PIMS Hospital, expressing anger over the delay in identifying the body and conducting the postmortem.
A Bara Kahu police sub-inspector had shifted the unidentified body to PIMS Hospital. However, the woman’s family alleged that the hospital administration refused to conduct an immediate postmortem.
The hospital administration reportedly informed the family that the postmortem would be carried out on Monday, two days later.
The deceased woman, originally from Abbottabad, was married to a citizen identified as Saqib Sati.
