ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan is set to host the two-day Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 in Islamabad on November 12 and 13, bringing together international investors, multinational mining companies and industry experts to explore opportunities in the country's mineral sector.
The forum aims to showcase Pakistan's vast untapped mineral resources, attract foreign investment, increase mineral exports and unlock the sector's economic potential.
Mining experts, international investors and representatives of multinational companies from across the world are expected to participate in the event.
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said Pakistan was endowed with extensive mineral resources that offered significant opportunities for investment, economic growth and industrial development.
He said the effective utilisation of these resources could contribute to industrial expansion, boost economic activity and support sustainable development.
Pakistan has considerable deposits of strategically important minerals, including copper, gold, lithium and rare earth elements, which are increasingly important in global markets due to their applications in advanced technologies, renewable energy, electric vehicles and modern industrial production.
The government is pursuing measures to better utilise these resources, enhance mineral exports and strengthen access to international markets by attracting foreign investment, technical expertise and modern mining technologies.
The forum is expected to provide a platform for international partnerships and investment opportunities while highlighting Pakistan's potential as a destination for global mining companies.
