ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan has stressed that the Constitution must be given the highest priority in the exercise of powers.
Addressing the opening of the 2026-27 judicial year at the Federal Constitutional Court, the chief justice said the start of a new judicial year was an opportunity to renew the commitment to delivering justice.
He said the Federal Constitutional Court was effectively fulfilling its responsibilities in dealing with constitutional matters.
The chief justice emphasized that the Constitution must remain paramount whenever powers are exercised.
He said adherence to the Constitution was essential for ensuring stability in society, adding that the Constitution clearly defines powers and their limits.
Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan also highlighted the importance of using modern technology in judicial affairs. He said the Federal Constitutional Court had delivered decisions in several important cases within a short period.
He said the use of technology can help improve institutional capacity and transparency.
He further said access to justice was a fundamental right of every citizen and that providing constitutional justice without discrimination should remain a core priority.
