ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized arrangements for its October 4 long march and decided to limit the protest to Swabi or Attock.
A meeting chaired by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister reviewed preparations for the long march.
PTI Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai said the march would remain organized and peaceful. He said a tent city would be established at a suitable location in either Swabi or Attock.
Yousafzai said instructions on when and at what time the march would move forward would be conveyed through the chain of command. All workers and organizers have been directed to remain prepared for possible situations.
He stressed that patience, discipline and peaceful conduct would be maintained under all circumstances, adding that party workers were highly motivated and fully prepared.
Yousafzai further claimed that the federal government was unsettled by public sentiment and the enthusiasm of party workers.
He said the exact location for the tent city would be decided jointly by district organizations and members of parliament.
