Summary Private Hajj bookings have increased after ministry intervention, with 50,000 seats still available and registration continuing until November 20.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Private Hajj scheme bookings have accelerated after the Monitoring Section of the Ministry of Religious Affairs took notice of the booking process.
According to a ministry spokesperson, applications received through the Pak Hajj app have reached 21,547. Around 50,000 seats are still available under the private Hajj scheme.
Pilgrims have been instructed to complete their payments through the Pak Hajj app, as direct payments to any individual or company are not permitted.
The ministry said around Rs18 billion has so far been transferred through the Hajj Portal to the accounts of authorised companies. Of this amount, 45% was deposited through digital channels, while 55% was paid through manual bank challans.
The last date for registration under the private Hajj scheme through the Hajj Portal has been set for November 20, 2026. More than 2,000 Hajj packages offered by 25 authorised companies are available on the portal.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs advised private pilgrims to report any complaints through the inquiry option available on the Hajj Portal.
