ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Junaid Akbar over his recent remarks, alleging that they reflect an intention to create unrest and disruption in the country.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Tarar alleged that Junaid Akbar and PTI did not believe in peaceful protest and instead wanted to pursue a path that could lead to violence and bloodshed.
The minister said the government had a responsibility to ensure the safety and security of citizens, protect their livelihoods and safeguard public order.
Tarar further described PTI’s call for protests as unlawful, saying the government would not allow demonstrators to block roads or disrupt the daily lives of citizens.
