PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Foundation has decided to outsource the management and operations of 37 health facilities across the province under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
According to the foundation, the initiative is aimed at improving the quality, accessibility and coverage of healthcare services in the province. Expressions of interest have been invited from eligible and experienced firms, organisations and joint ventures for the management and operation of the selected facilities.
The health centres included in the outsourcing plan are located in Lower Dir, Hangu, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Orakzai, Buner, Peshawar and Swat.
Facilities in Shangla, Nowshera, North Waziristan, Mohmand, Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu are also included in the initiative.
The Health Foundation said each health facility would be treated as a separate project. Interested applicants will be required to indicate their preferences according to Form 4.
Under the proposed arrangement, management and operations of the selected health facilities will be handed over through the PPP framework to qualified entities with relevant experience.
The foundation has invited eligible firms, organisations and joint ventures to submit their expressions of interest for the programme.
